Care

Looking after it.

Five layers of water-based non-stick, made to cook on very little oil. It asks for oil first, low to medium heat and soft tools.

The full care guide
  • Wash, rinse and dry.

Wash in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry.

  • Oil, food or water in first, then the heat.

Never heat the pan empty. Put in the oil, food or water first, then turn on the heat. Cook with oil the first time: it extends the coating's life.

  • Flame on the base, never up the sides.

Match the pan to the size of the burner, and keep the flame on the base, never up the sides.

  • Keep high heat for boiling and reducing.

Low to medium heat gives the best results. Keep high heat for boiling or reducing liquids.

  • Nylon, plastic, silicone or wood.

Use nylon, plastic, silicone or wooden utensils. Metal can damage the coating and void the warranty.

  • Soft sponge. By hand when food has built up.

Soak stubborn food in hot, soapy water, then clean with a soft, non-abrasive sponge. It is dishwasher safe, but wash it by hand when food has built up.

  • Rinse well, dry with a clean cloth.

Rinse thoroughly after washing and dry with a clean cloth.

Avoid

  • Heating the pan empty, which damages the coating and voids the warranty.
  • Metal utensils, knives, scissors or other sharp objects, which damage the surface and void the warranty.
  • Steel wool, abrasives, harsh detergents or cleansers with chlorine bleach, which damage the surface and void the warranty.

Questions

Before you buy

All questions
Does it work on induction?

Yes. It works on gas and induction.

Is it dishwasher-safe?

Yes. When food has built up, wash it by hand instead: soak it in hot, soapy water, then clean it with a soft, non-abrasive sponge.

Can I use metal utensils?

No. Metal utensils can damage the coating and void the warranty, and so can knives, scissors and other sharp objects. Use nylon, plastic, silicone or wooden tools.

Is it PFOA free?

Yes. The five-layer, water-based coating is PFOA free.

How much oil does it need?

Very little. Put it in before you turn on the heat: never heat the pan empty, which damages the coating and voids the warranty. Cook with oil the first time you use it, too. It extends the coating's life.

How do I clean it?

Soak stubborn food in hot, soapy water, then clean with a soft, non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and towel-dry with a clean cloth. Skip steel wool, abrasives, harsh detergents and chlorine bleach.

How long is the warranty?

Two years against manufacturing defects. It doesn't cover incorrect or professional use, or knocks and drops. Heating the pan empty, metal utensils, sharp objects, abrasives, harsh detergents and chlorine bleach can damage the surface and void it.
