Orders & delivery7
Where can I buy Alda?

Can I pay cash on delivery?
Yes. Pay by UPI, debit card or credit card when you order, or pay cash when your order is delivered.
How much is delivery?
Free on orders of ₹599 and above, and ₹149 per order below that.
How long will my order take?
We pack and dispatch most orders within 1 to 2 working days, Monday to Saturday except public holidays. Delivery then takes 2 to 5 working days to a metro city, 3 to 7 to other cities and towns, and 5 to 10 to remote areas.
How do I track my order?
When your order ships, we email you a link to track it. You can also sign in to your Alda account with your email, from the account icon at the top of any page, to see your orders and their tracking.
Do you deliver outside my town, or outside India?
We deliver within the municipal limits of the towns we serve. For anywhere outside those limits, or outside India, write to enquiry@aldaindia.com and we'll confirm the delivery charge.
Can one order go to two addresses?
No. Each order ships to one address. To send pieces to different addresses, please place a separate order for each.
Returns & warranty4
What if my order arrives damaged?
If the box looks damaged or opened, refuse it, or note the damage on the courier's delivery slip before you sign. If something inside is damaged, tell us within 3 days of delivery, with photos and an unboxing video: call our delivery helpline on +91 95481 30131, 10 am to 5 pm on working days, with your order number, and we'll send a replacement as quickly as we can.
How do returns work?
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we'll guide you through the return. Products must be unused and in their original packaging, with tags, accessories and serial number. Card and UPI payments are refunded to the account you paid with; cash-on-delivery orders are refunded as store credit, valid for a year.
Who pays for return shipping?
Return shipping is yours to cover, unless we sent the wrong item or it arrived damaged or dented. Then we replace it with the same product, free of charge.
How long is the warranty?
Primero, Vitale and Bueno Tri-Ply cookware carries a lifetime warranty of 10 years. Tri-Ply stainless steel pressure cookers carry a 5-year warranty. Evrlast non-stick has a 5-year warranty, Marbello non-stick 2 years, and Ceramico 1 year, against manufacturing defects. It doesn't cover incorrect or professional use, knocks and drops, or stains, discolouration and scratches from normal wear.
Materials6
What is tri-ply stainless steel?
Cookware with three bonded layers: food-grade 304 stainless steel on the inside, where it meets your food; an aluminium core that spreads heat quickly and evenly; and magnetic 430 stainless steel on the outside, which is what makes it work on induction.
What does food-grade 304 mean?
It's the stainless steel grade with roughly 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It resists the acids in tomatoes, tamarind, milk and vegetables, which is why it's the standard for anything that touches food.
Is ceramic non-stick safe?
Yes. The Ceramico coating is a sand-derived silica ceramic with no PTFE, PFAS, PFOA or heavy metals, so there's no fluoropolymer to break down or give off fumes.
Can I use metal utensils?
Yes on Tri-Ply stainless steel and the Evrlast non-stick range. Use wood, silicone or nylon on Marbello and Ceramico.
What is PEEK?
PEEK stands for polyether ether ketone: a food-safe semi-crystalline polymer used for a tough, abrasion-resistant cooking surface. The coating is formulated without PFAS or PFOA.
Does cast iron need seasoning?
Our cast iron comes pre-seasoned and gets better with use. Before the first cook, wash it, dry it and oil every surface. After each wash, dry it straight away and wipe on a thin layer of oil.
Using & caring6
Does Alda work on induction?
Most Alda cookware does, and the box says so.
Can it go in the oven?
Tri-Ply stainless-steel cookware is oven-safe without the glass lid; stainless-steel lids are also oven-safe. This does not include pressure cookers. The Evrlast range is oven-rated too. Ceramico, IronIQ, Marbello and Bueno are not oven safe. Never put cookware with wooden or Bakelite handles in the oven.
Can I use it in a microwave?
No. Never put cookware in a microwave. TruGlass storage is the exception: open the air vent in the case and cube lids, and take the jar's lid off first.
Is it dishwasher-safe?
Most Tri-Ply stainless steel and the Evrlast and Marbello non-stick ranges can go in the dishwasher, though washing by hand keeps them looking new. Wash ceramic, cast iron, knives and wooden boards and tools by hand.
Why has my steel pan gone blue or rainbow-coloured?
That's heat colouration, and it's harmless. Starchy food cooked at a high heat can leave a blue or grey tint too. A little vinegar, or baking soda and water, takes it off.
How do I look after a wooden board?
Wipe it with a damp cloth or wash it with mild soap, never soak it, and dry it straight away. When it looks pale and dry, rub in a little food-grade mineral oil.
Pressure cookers4
How full can I fill the cooker?
Never more than two-thirds full, and no more than half for food that expands, like rice and dry vegetables.
How do I open it safely?
Switch off the heat and let the cooker cool so the pressure drops, without moving it. Lift the whistle weight gently with a spoon to release any pressure that's left, check again, then open the lid. With dal, rajma, milk or any other liquid or frothy food, don't lift the weight: let the cooker cool until the pressure has dropped on its own.
How often should I replace the gasket and safety valve?
The gasket hardens with time, even when it isn't used, so replace it every four to six months. The safety valve should be changed every six months.
Can I cook without water?
No. There must always be liquid inside. Letting a cooker boil dry is hazardous, damages it and voids the warranty. Never use it to pressure-fry in oil, and never put it in a heated oven.
